Thank you for considering supporting us in some way. Here are some suggestions on how you might be able to do that.
Volunteer for us
Virtual Assistants are jacks of all trades. Whatever experience you have, whichever field you work(ed) in, we know you will be a great asset to us. As a volunteer, you will help us provide employability training (and/or technical skills) to our supported employees. Typical areas of need are:
- Written communication skills
- Understanding tone/register
- Help with Excel, and other Office packages
- Understanding their role in the organisation
- Understanding and following instructions
This kind of help is particularly important in supporting our neurodiverse students. For some, the training process can be more troubling than for others, and a friendly person to talk to and allay their fears is invaluable.
This role can take a lot of our time, but it is among the most worthwhile aspects of our work. Any support you can give us will free up our time that will, in turn, allow us to train more and more individuals who have been long-term unemployed.

Donate to us
As a Supported Virtual Assistant Company, a third of management time is spent training and supervising supported employees. Moreover, as they start only about a third of supported employee time is chargeable to clients.
Without additional funding, the growth of the business, and with it our ability to get more individuals into meaningful employment, will be jeopardised. Any donation you make to us will be used solely to cover training costs.

Become a Director
We have 4 amazing Directors (the Social Enterprise equivalent of a Trustee, with fewer responsibilities) but would benefit from having a few more join our team.
We currently meet every 2 months for 1 hour meetings. Our meetings start at 7.30pm on either Mondays or Wednesdays.
Over the next 3 years we are hoping to:
- Expand - we firmly believe that our business model is replicable in every county of the United Kingdom, and will need help to get there.
- Become an accredited training provider to be able to offer our own apprenticeships as well as CPD credited learning.
- Build our internal HR and Legal knowledge - as supported employers we often face tricky questions to do with sick leave and performance reviews. We are FSB members and our Insurance Providers are excellent at giving advice, but any in-house experience/knowledge in these matters would greatly improve our ability to respond swiftly and minimise supported employee anxiety.
If you have any experience or knowledge of what is needed to succeed in any of these areas, please contact us, we'd love to hear from you.
